INDIA - IT Recruitment to see increased demand for digital skills

IT hiring in India is set to witness increased demandfor digital skills, according to data from Han Digital, an India-basedspecialised HR consulting and recruitment firm.

The research showed that talent acquisition teams inIndia are seeing increased incidences of hiring for digital skills withincreased digital technology adoption.

Furthermore, the share of demand for disruptivetechnology skills has been growing rapidly in the past three years across majorcities and emerging cities in India.

In 2014, the job demand and growth of digitaltechnology skills were less than 15% of overall hiring and has almost doubledto 28% in 2017. For 2018, it is estimated to be in the region of 35%.

Han Digital identified Robotic Process Automation(RPA), DevOps and UI/UX as the top thee skills in 2017 by demand and growth.Demand for these skills will continue to increase in 2018 as well.
