【中国】苹果供应商停止在苹果工厂里聘用非法的学生劳工

CHINA - APPLE SUPPLIERSTOPS ILLEGAL STUDENT LABOUR AT IPHONE FACTORY (CNBC)

Foxconn, an electronics supplier to Apple, announcedthat it has stopped students from working illegal overtime at Apple's iPhone factoryin China, reports CNBC. It comes after then Financial Times reported thatFoxconn has been employing students illegally working overtime to assemble theiPhone X to meet demand.  Six high schoolstudents said they routinely work 11-hour days assembling the iPhone X at afactory in China, which breaches Chinese laws that aim to prevent children fromworking more than 40 hours per week. In a statement, Apple said, "Apple isdedicated to ensuring everyone in our supply chain is treated with the dignityand respect they deserve. We know our work is never done and we'll continue todo all we can to make a positive impact and protect workers in our supplychain."

CNBC报道指出：富士康，苹果公司的电子产品供应商，宣布他们已经停止在中国苹果iPhone工厂聘用学生非法超时工作。富士康在《金融时报》的报道曝光其为了满足供货需求，聘用学生非法超时工作组装iPhone X之后发的声明。六名还在就读高中的同学声称他们每天在中国富士康一家工厂里工作11个小时组装iPhone X，这违反了中国保护未成年人法：禁止让未成年人每周工作超过40小时。在一份苹果的声明中指出：苹果公司致力于保证每一位在生产线上的工人受到应有的尊重及尊严。我们知道我们的工作做得还不够，但是我们会继续努力，起到正面的影响，尽可能保护生产线上的工人。
