Chairmanof struggling Ericsson to stand down

LeifJohansson, chairman of Sweden's Ericsson , plans to quit before the company'sannual meeting in 2018 as the struggling mobile equipment firm tries to restoreprofitability.

Ericssonhas drafted in a new CEO, but corporate activist investor Cevian Capital, ledby Christer Gardell, recently bought a more than 5 percent stake and has beenpushing for further change.

"Itis not unreasonable to believe he (Gardell) has pushed Johansson out," saida fund manager with an investment in Ericsson but who declined to be named. 

为了苦苦支撑中的瑞典移动设备公司爱立信能够恢复盈利，董事长Leif Johansson计划在2018年的公司年度会议前辞职。

爱立信已经任命了一位新的CEO，并且由Christer Gardell领导的公司投资者Cevian Capital最近收购了其5%以上的股份，同时也在推行进一步的改革。

爱立信投资爱尔兰的一名不想透露姓名的基金经理表示，他认为Gardell让Johansson离职是不合理的。
