【Greece】Half of new private sector jobs arepart-time and below minimum wage

Half of new jobsin Greece's private sector arepart-time and fall under the minimum wage, according to data from ERGANIpublished in the Greek Reporter.  Thefigures for the period from January to May 2017 showed that 924,321 jobs werecreated, of which 459,888 are full-time and 464,433 positions are part-time. Ofthe full-time jobs, more than 70% pay slightly above or below minimum wage.According to Eurostat, the statistical body of the European Union, the minimumwage in Greece is €683.76 permonth.
